DanceCheer.NET PROMOTIONAL ARTWORK GUIDELINES
Please read this page thoroughly before sending us your artwork. If you have any questions after reading this, please feel free to call us at 970.674.3387.
Artwork: All files must be VECTOR ART, saved as EPS, and all text converted to outline. EPS format files provide superior reproduction quality allowing images to be resized with no loss of sharpness or detail. We recommend that all artwork containing text be converted to outlines or curves when possible. Send only original, native vector, EPS files. These are files that have been created in programs like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand. Photoshop .psd or .tiff files saved at the highest resolution possible (a minimum of 300 dpi is recommended). Artwork created in the body of emails, in word processing software, in web design software, or scanned by common household scanners are often fine for viewing in correspondence and on websites, but are too low a resolution for imprinting and will result in a poor quality image and are thus not acceptable. It is best to send the artwork as close to the size of the actual imprint area as possible. Black and white logos and art should be within a 50% range of actual printed size. If the size of the imprint area of the product you are ordering is not stated in the ad, then feel free to call us for the imprint area size.
Black on white, spot color-separated, camera-ready artwork is required. No half tones or gradiented art can be accepted. Only line art will be accepted. If artwork is not camera-ready, we will contact you to see if you want to pay additional typesetting and/or art charges to clean up your artwork or create new artwork. All images submitted are printed as is unless otherwise specified. It is your responsibility to have all images proofed and adjusted to your satisfaction before submission. All artwork is to be supplied at highest possible resolution. Bad artwork will not look any better after it is reproduced. Due to problems with customers submitting unacceptable artwork who are not familiar with graphic design and requirements, if you do not have a qualified graphic artist creating the artwork and you send us unacceptable artwork, after two unacceptable images are submitted to us, the customer will need to either pay to have the artwork cleaned up; pay to have us create the artwork; print with the artwork as is (and we cannot be held responsible for any poor resulting imprint); or cancel the imprint. Please note that sending unacceptable artwork will delay the processing of your order, as imprinted orders cannot be processed until the artwork is approved.
If you are very particular about the imprint color needing to match, we suggest specifying the pantone color. You can click here for an online Pantone Color Chart, however due to monitor colors varying, we cannot guarantee this color unless you choose your color from an actual hard copy of the Pantone Color Chart. This Pantone Color Chart is intended as a reference guide only. Most computer monitors will not accurately display colors and should not be used to choose colors where matching is critical. A range of industry books are available for purchase from most artist supply shops or libraries, and is an essential requirement for any form of printing, graphic or design You may be able to view a Pantone Color Chart at your local silkscreen shop or Kinkos.
